One of the things passed with the sanctions was a restriction on foreign countries receiving new North Korean workers, a recognition that North Korea rents slaves -- anywhere from 100,000 to 150,000 -- to Russia, China, Malaysia, Cambodia, Qatar, and other shining examples of human rights.
And we must have finally gotten Kim Jong-un's attention because the DPRK vowed "thousands-fold" revenge, as well as threatening to strike Guam.
North Korea earns about $235 million per month from exports to China. Trade between North Korea and China reached $6,860 million in 2016.
But China earned $10,193.3 million via exports to the U.S. in April 2017. It earned $12,616.0 in October 2016. China earned $462,618.1 million in 2016, with total trade for the year reaching $578,220.2 million.
Close the ports to Chinese goods. Demonstrate to China exactly what is at stake. After its economy starts to implode after a month, it will beg the U.S. to revisit the issue.
